don't stay
for though I may long
for a never-ending last kiss
and though my cries preach
to speak loud my soft wishes
all of my most pleasant dreams
are of a happier future
one which we'll both appreciate
as the righteous moment's move
and though my heart may linger
in your warm embrace once more
I was told and will try to
take it as it comes

and it's not as though I forget
